Chanelle & Joaquim's Wedding

Take a quick note of this beautiful location, because we’ll be back soon ;)

At the family’s scenic waterfront property in Grand-Digue, we’re getting ready for an amazing day. The sun and the light seemed just perfect, even first thing in the morning, but early on it was already getting a bit too hot! Everyone prepped inside while Chanelle’s friends and flower experts prepared the beautiful arrangements outside.

After a tear jerking first look with her father, I headed over to see how Joaquim and his crew were doing back in Grande Digue proper.

After getting ready there was time for a little tomfoolery outside before I had to go … and I also wanted to get away from the mosquitos that were gathering quickly. No respect, even on a wedding day!

Back by the water, friends and family were already gathering outside for the ceremony. The sun beat down hard as everyone began walking down the aisle. And when the knot was tied, the explosion of exuberance from the crowd was so loud! What an upbeat bunch - definitely not letting the heat get them down.

After the ceremony we slowly all filtered down the small staircase to the beach below for some congratulations and some photos (and because it was a bit cooler down there). Then I did my best to make the hard light my friend and not my enemy, and we got some great moody shots, and some great bright and sunny shots.

After a few moments on the cliffs, it was time to round everyone up back inside for the tent reception.

It was a brilliant party, with lots of fun and games. This crew was here for a good time.

Then as the sun set, we went back outside for some moody sunset portraits.

After a bit more dancing, suddenly the sky lit up and everyone headed outside to witness an amazing fireworks display! Seriously, though, wow. They really put on a show that night.

Congratulations Chanelle & Joaquim! What a brilliant day, and what an exciting way to finish!
