Sony a7iv Review

Now that you’ve heard my thoughts on the new a7iv, feel free to browse through some image samples to take a closer look. Let’s start somewhere warm first, in the studio with https://www.instagram.com/east_coast_tina/

First we hit the streets where it was -24⁰C, and Roumy still rocket it.

Using the Viltrox 50 1.8

That same day we also went into the snowy woods with Jen, but quickly froze and headed home 😂

Next we head indoors (mostly) for some maternity and personal branding photos with https://www.instagram.com/ecomera/

This next piece was shot on the a7iv with the 35GM in 4K24p HS 100Mbps 10 bit 4:2:2 SLog3 using active stabilization for the handheld shots, and the a7iii in Slog2 with the Viltrox 24 1.8 for the wide angle stationary shots. And let me tell you, it was a nightmare matching the colours of those two cameras!

A little relaxed fun with the a7iv and the 35GM. No stabilization in camera used, stabilized in post using Catalyst Browse. It was only -12⁰C that day 😂

Moving along to some real estate photos, all using one exposure, no HDR merging (some flash work, though). Shot on the 16-35GM

And then some cold, cold landscape photos at -26⁰C (are you seeing a pattern yet? It’s funny how often I see people asking if a Sony will hold up below 0⁰C…suffice to say, they do just fine. Haha). Shot on the 35GM
