Courteney & Travis' Wedding

On a warm September day, we started out at La Spa, wayyyy up in the north end of Moncton. (I lived downtown at the time…seems like a long way to me 😉). With bubbles and makeup and hairspray and laughter, the girls hung out for much of the morning there. Courteney penned her letter to Travis while she watched the others get their shine on.

Obviously she was Quite pleased with the results when finished (and not quite comfortable with being the center of attention for the whole day…I think she later warmed to it, though. haha)

On my way to see the groom and his crew, I found out they weren’t quite ready for me yet. Since it was on the way, I decided to stop in at The Cocoa Room for a few pictures of the empty hall. It’s always a bit tricky to get those shots in the midst of the chaos of a wedding day.

Once I got there and the suiting up began, the guys were ready before you could say “Bacardi”.

Then back to Courteney’s family’s place, the finishing touches were happening. Dresses and hugs and kisses and tears.

And, as usual, lots of laughter.

Back to The Cocoa Room for the ceremony, everyone was gathered and waiting for them (and I didn’t have to shoo any early-birds away for photos of the room!). The sun gleamed through the high windows in the venue, and Courteney looked like an angel in the backlit glow, as she waited for her father to come take her hand.

Outside on the boardwalk the sun was still high up in the sky, so I put on an ultra-wide lens and got real low, to bring it back down closer to the horizon. Then by the time we got to the park for the rest of our photos, the light was perfect, and everything seemed to glisten and glow magically.

Before we knew it we were back at The Cocoa Room (there’s almost always a lot of back and forth, even when your wedding is “all in one place” 😉), getting set for the first dances and the party.

Congratulations, Courteney and Travis! And thank you for having me along for the adventure - it was a beautiful day to remember.
